(Al-Hashr) 59 : 6
وَمَا أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ مِنْهُمْ فَمَا أَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَيْلٍ وَلَا رِكَابٍ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
And whatever Allah has turned over to His Messenger from among them, you did not send forth cavalry or camelry against it, but Allah grants mastery to His Messengers over whomever He wills. And Allah is capable of everything.
Before the Banu Nadir expedition, it was customary to distribute war booty among those who participated in battle. However, in the blockade against Banu Nadir, no cavalry or camelry was deployed against them. Therefore, in the following verses, the law regarding the distribution of the booty taken from them is explained. See the explanation of 8:1.
