(Al-Hashr) 59 : 6
وَمَا أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ مِنْهُمْ فَمَا أَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَيْلٍ وَلَا رِكَابٍ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
And whatever Allah has turned upon His Messenger from among them, then you have not made any expedition upon it with cavalry and camelry; but indeed Allah gives mastery to His Messengers upon whom He wishes, and Allah is capable of everything.
Before the ‘Banu-Nalir expedition’, it was in practice to share the booty got in wars among the warriors who participated in the battles. But in the blockade done against ‘Banu-Nalir’, no cavalry or camelry was driven against them. So through the continuing verses, the law regarding the sharing of booty that they got from them is explained. See explanation 8: 1.
